Zelenskyy Set for Talks with Dutch PM in Netherlands
Ukraine's state news agency, confirmed the arrival through its correspondent on the ground, noting that Zelenskyy is attending the Four Freedoms Awards ceremony in the historic city of Middelburg. His itinerary also includes a face-to-face with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten — who traveled to Ukraine just last month, marking only his second overseas trip since assuming office in February.
The Netherlands stop follows a packed series of engagements across the continent. Earlier this week, Zelenskyy visited Germany and Norway before heading to Italy on Wednesday, underscoring the urgency with which Kyiv is pursuing binding commitments from European partners.
The Ukrainian president set the tone early in the week, stating that Kyiv is preparing the basis for deeper security agreements in Europe and that it expects to "achieve results this very week."
In Berlin, the diplomatic groundwork translated into concrete action — Kyiv and the German capital signed a data-sharing agreement between their respective defense ministries, alongside a joint declaration of intent on "support of industrial recovery and resilience" between their economy ministries.
In Oslo on Tuesday, Zelenskyy held talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, culminating in a joint declaration on enhanced defense and security cooperation.
The Rome leg of the tour also yielded progress: Zelenskyy and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni confirmed that their teams will work through the details of a drone deal, and are also working to increase engagement between their defense companies, he said after a meeting in Rome on Wednesday.
